BABYSITTERS & NANNIES | SUBSIDIES
UrbanSitter helps parents find background checked babysitters and nannies throughout the state of California. We make it quick and easy to book last-minute sitters, backup care, and part-time nannies near you.
During the COVID-19 crisis, UrbanSitter is partnering with healthcare companies, local entities, and corporations providing essential services to secure childcare for their employees. Our childcare services can be rolled out to your workforce within 48 hours and customized to include childcare subsidies. Komae helps parents connect with other parents to take turns caring for each other's kids. The mobile app makes it easy to find friends, create groups, communicate need, and schedule care as "babysitting playdates." Komae is free to join and use.
During COVID-19, Komae is partnering with healthcare and essential services to provide insulated care networks between coworkers. Our childcare circles can be implemented hands-off to the organization within 48 hours. Parents at home use Komae to swap "digital care breaks" and coordinate "digital playdates" for all-family mental and social health. For more information, email email@example.com.
We are accepting volunteer families who wish to offer care to workers in essential services.
VOLUNTEER CARE | NONPROFIT | FREE
MN COVIDsitters is a nonprofit created by medical students during COVID-19 to match student volunteer caregivers to healthcare professionals. Students and families are hand-coordinated into pods and guided on protective distance best practices.
MN CovidSitters has inspired multiple local chapters in California, including LA COVID-19 Volunteers and LA County COVID Volunteers. Both groups are currently accepting student volunteers in health professions and requests from healthcare workers to be matched with caregivers, and the program is free.
Winnie helps parents find high-quality local daycares and preschools. We provide up-to-date information on each provider, including program, hours, tuition, reviews, licensing, and availability.
Many childcare and daycare providers remain open during COVID-19 stay-at-home and shelter-in-place orders, including emergency care for essential workers. Winnie displays nearby providers with immediate openings and allows parents to contact providers directly for placement.
HopSkipDrive is a safe youth transportation solution which connects those in need of a ride — age six and up as well as senior citizens - with rigorously-vetted CareDrivers. All CareDrivers are required to have at least five years of caregiving experience and pass a stringent 15-point certification process.
HopSkipDrive has capacity available to help our community during this time of crisis. Whether that be meal delivery for a senior, taking a child to pick up free lunch from a school meal program, getting children with IEPs to their appointments, helping health workers with their child transportation needs, and much more. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
